African Drumming

The students got a chance to learn African drumming from a master drummer! Mr. Diomande, a West African native, hails from Ivory Coast where he studied drumming and dancing as a child. He has been a member of Ballet National de Cote d’Ivoire, Kothegna Dance Company, and has been featured with many troupes in NYC and around the U.S. Those experiences include accompanying Jimmy Buffet on tour, and performing as a resident artist for Disney World. He brings an energetic drumming experience for our students to experience the rhythms, languages, instruments, dances
and songs found in the villages of West Africa.
